TherapistLife is hard and our emotions can be confusing at times. As a therapist, my desire is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable to
share your emotions. I strongly believe in the power of a therapeutic relationship to assist you on your journey of self-reflection and healing. I enjoy partnering alongside teens and
adults to help provide education, tools, and create personal goals for lasting change. I want to walk the journey with you and be a cheerleader for positive changes. One of my main focuses and enjoyment is working with children and young adults who have experienced traumas. Learning to navigate emotions and appropriately express them can be difficult for anyone. Through therapy, everyone can learn emotional regulation and coping skills to deal with challenges in their lives. I have experience working alongside those dealing with relational issues, anger management, anxiety, trauma, sexually harmful behaviors, and a variety of behavioral concerns.
I worked for many years as a special education teacher before completing my goal of becoming a therapist. Working closely with children and families has given me perspective
on how mental health can affect not just the individual but the whole family. I also am a certified therapist in providing trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and
EMDR trained. I do incorporate a variety of modalities into therapy to include DBT, CBT, and many more depending on needs.
From a personal perspective, I have lived in many different places thanks to a husband who was in the military. I have called Indiana home for many years now. We have three boys that are teens/young adults. I enjoy being outdoors whether it is to read a book, enjoy a beach, or go camping with my family. Books, coffee, and podcasts are some essential
things for my sanity. When you are ready, I am here for you.
